Pictures, graphics and colors usually shows more than a text paragraph. No need to read much and if well placed, gives users another reason to keep reading and/or revisit your blog or site.

I came across this post, and could not resist the opportunity to comment. What an amazing amount of photographs you have taken! 15k-20k! ouch.

Photographs evoke so much more than words, the richness of the textures, the complexity (or subtlety) of composition stimulate our senses and picque our imagination. The neurons dance when we look at images much more so than words or music. Or I am biased? I work for a photographer's hosting service, so probably.

That would certainly give our hosting service a run for it's money. We offer Infinite Image Hosting - but so far, we have not tested it with such a huge volume. If you want a free account, let me know and I'll get someone to sort it out.

Hi Heidi,
Not sure if my 1st post worked or not, so here goes again...

Using pictures on the site always enhances the user experience. I have found in testing that posts with pictures always attract more readers.

All The best!

Hello Heidi,
Images always enhance the page and when used correctly can offer a greater user experience when visiting your site. Many times I'll make a post without any pictures, but the post's with pictures always get a better reaction.

Split testing is a great idea!

Love the Duck-Rabit

All The Best!

Would I be too cliche in saying a picture is worth a thousand words?

Interesting data...

Great post -- found this site via a Google search...

.. And if you have even basic split testing software, you'll get the right answer (because your visitors will let you know instead of guessing what they like).

Finally, I'm going to be split testing an idea I found on a popular message board... the idea of having an attractive person (of the opposite sex) looking at me from behind. I understand this bumps response, too.
